Goals and Purpose

Our goals and purpose for the Jr. Eagle Girls Feeder Basketball Program remains the same throughout the year, regardless of the league, camp and or training they’re attending, our vision does not change.

The goal of the Jr. Eagles girls basketball feeder and travel program is to develop the core basketball skills and IQ necessary to compete and be successful at the high school level. 

The Purpose of the Jr. Eagles girls basketball feeder and travel program is to teach the girls how to be an accountable athlete before they reach high school, From balancing school work, family life and basketball, we want to teach the girls how to balance all three by being accountable. 

Differences and Similarities between Fall Travel and Spring Feeder Leagues

Differences

· Tournaments vs Games

o Teams will be competing against other travel/aau teams in a tournament/shootout setting

o 2-3 games on a Saturday or Sunday

· Competition level is slightly higher

o Coach Reibel and his staff want the girls to compete at the highest level to get them ready to compete in a very talented conference 

· Games are NOT every weekend

o The season will span over 10 weekends and you will be only playing 5 of those weekends

o This allows multi-sport athletes some flexibility in the fall

Similarities

· Goals and Purpose of the program remains the same

· Emphasis and focuses at practices will remain the same

· Offense and Defensive philosophy will remain the same

o These come directly from Coach Reibel and his high school staff so the players are prepared when they enter high school

Fall Travel Team Important Dates and Scheduling info

Tryouts

· Week of September 16that Dundee Middle School

· Dates-TBD

Practices (Beings week of September 30th)

· Two days a week 

· Tuesday and Thursdays at Dundee Middle School (subject to change)

Skills Sessions (Start date is TBD)

· Wednesdays at Jacobs from 630-8pm (Main Gym)

Travel Tournaments (Begins on October 12th/13th Weekend)

· Teams will participate in 5 travel tournaments between October 12th and December 14th 

· Coaches will discuss availability of the 5 weekends that are selected for your team

o We understand each coach and grade level can have different availability based on school sports/functions. 

· Games will either be on Saturday or Sunday (2-3 games), never both days

o You will know the dates you will be playing by September 30th

o Specific times of those games are released the Thursday before your tournament day

· No games Thanksgiving weekend (November 23rd/24th)

What will the weekly schedule look like?

● Two practices per week @ Dundee Middle School (and possibly other local gyms).

● 1 night of group fundamental work at Jacobs high school or Lifezone 360

● Travel Tournaments on Weekends, Will work with coaches on availability of which weekends

○ Days (Saturday or Sunday) and weekends will be announced once teams are formed and availability is discussed with coaches and families. 

What is the cost?

4th - 8th Grade - $475 per player. (Price includes practice time, Skill sessions, travel tournament registration fees, insurance, full uniform (reversible jersey, shorts, warm up top)

We encourage all players to participate in our off season clinics that are ran by Bear Basketball Fundamentals.  Clinics will be offered in August, September and October. More information will become available this spring. Check back soon!
